The sound is excellent and it's probably one of the best soundtracks. There's also the classic wind tunnel in the game which is hard as ever, especially if you've tried to beat it on the NES. Another fun level of the game is the extra bonus life levels in where you have to skate on this puck and hit a certain amount of pins to get an extra life, maybe it's because it has that Alice in Wonderland feel to the level. The mission has took some liberties from that level, but its MUCH harder especially when you have to avoid these sharp wooden pencil like objects. Another stage is similar to the second one in the Battletoads NES version in which you're on that rope avoiding crows. The first stage isn't that hard, it's a typical beat the bad guys up, continue, beat them up again and a slightly difficult boss. The game still has two player from the NES which I recommend doing once we get Netplay on here The game is as hard as ever, I'm not really sure if it's harder than Battletoads seeing as it is a remake to the game, but I'd say this version is a big harder. The game you could call a remake to the original Battletoads with enhanced graphics and sound and a few new levels to the game, so basically if you've played the original Battletoads you'll recognize a lot of the remade levels in the game. Now the plot might sound like it's really cliched, but I never really cared for the plot of the game considering how most of us cared for the gameplay. The plot of the game goes how the Toads have to save some CEO of a game company and they have to save Zits by going inside a video game and how you have to defeat the Dark Queen once again so she won't rule the world again. A year after came out an excellent addition to the SNES library, Battletoads in Battlemaniacs.

Now Rare and Tradewest decided to make another game which would be a spinoff called Battletoads & Double Dragon: The Ultimate Team, I never really took much time to play the game due to the fact that it never worked on my emulator but after I played a little of the game it looked like it had the same difficulty style as Battletoads but I guess the spinoff idea made me just walk away from it. What made the game infamous was its high difficulty level, you needed to have very sharp reflexes or you would you just die in a second and throw the controller at your NES. Battletoads in Battlemaniacs Review by: xfighter1138 - 8.5/10Battletoads was an already satisfying game for the NES, it wasn't just a monotonous beat em up, it had stages with you just outrunning from an enemy, climbing and jumping in a snake maze trying not to die from spikes, tower climbing levels, and a lot more.
